For UN Vesak Day 2019

The Sangha of Comunidad Zen Sotoshu del Perú, send their best wishes and warm congratulations for the 16th United Nations Day of Vesak Celebration 2019, to be held at at the Tam Chuc International Buddhist Convention Center in Ha Nam Province, Vietnam.
We deeply appreciate this opportunity to meet the worldwide Sangha for sharing knowledge and experiences about  this year theme “Buddhist Approach to Global Leadership and Shared Responsibilities for Sustainable Societies. Based on the exchange of speakers and papers presented in previous years, we encourage and promote the articulation of our activities within the SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS presented by the United Nations, within the time frame set for the year 2030.
In the sanghas and communities of Latin America, we believe that our young societies have much to learn and value from the wisdom and teachings of all Masters and Ancestors, especially in the current context of violence, religious, racial and political intolerance, economic inequality, and loss of human values. By residing in lands geographically furthest from the dharma, in a continent where more than %99 of the population is non-Buddhist, sharing these celebrations, conferences, and friendly meetings is a unique chance for us to enrich and strengthen the seeds of dharma.
For all this we want to deeply thank the International Council for Day of Vesak, the National Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, institutions, collaborators, donors and the people of Vietnam that wholeheartedly are hosting this event and celebrations.
