CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE
For UN Vesak Day 2019
It is with great rejoice that on behalf of the Venezuelan delegation, I would like to transmit our congratulatory message for the 16th United Nations Day of Vesak in Vietnam during may of 2019.
From this part of the world, where the word of the Buddha is greatly unknown, the UNDV 2019 will be an inspiring event to keep working towards the propagation of buddhism in places with huge difficulties such as poverty, social inequalities, and political turmoil, like for example, our country is going through. We are convinced that nowadays, more than ever, the Buddha’s teachings are necessary in the world.
We congratulate this initiative of the UN and all its supporters, for the organization of this important event, for the sake of strengthening the buddhist community around the world.
With our hearts united, we wish the best of the conditions to the realization of this event under the guidance of the Triple Gem.
